Why the USA is really good in swimming?

Hello in this post I am going to talk about the USA's team and why they are really good in swimming.

All the people know the USA have 520 total swimming Olympic medals and 220 of them are gold. And it is the best country in the world in swimming and there isn't any country close. Because the second country near is Australia with only 171medal. And all the people asking why the Americans are really good in swimming. What’s the explanation for the USA’s Olympic dominance?

America is rich country and also it is one are tops in GDP tend to rise to the top of the medal count.       But this  year America  got 31 medals in swimming . Swimming is especially important to America in terms of medal ambitions. In the last Olympics a Games there were  34 swimming and the USA medaled in 27 of them.
When it comes to nurturing and training top-level swimmers, America is the best nation in the world.  It have elite swimmers ! they grow up also in private swim clubs and matriculate at top college programs.

It is  well-organized and well-funded country in term of swimming. Because it pays their athletes $75,000 for each gold medal and  other an extra $50,000 for setting a new world record. It is impossible the USA don't get any medal in swimming. There are a lot of differences between the USA and the other countries in the world and also take advantage in swimming coaches and support infrastructure.

The United States is generally competent in all other sports. There are only three Summer Olympic events in which the USA has never medaled: badminton, team handball, table tennis, banishing baseball and softball from the games.  But they are really good and they always dominate in basketball and volleyball.

There a lot of people think the American's athletes are so much good than other countries 's athletes and they really good in sports. But no it is true. It is true the USA is Arica country and use this money to promote the sports . And also use this money to provide scholarships from Americans swimmers or  foreigners.

I think you learn more about why the Americans are so good in swimming and no it is lucky . It is only work hard and spend a lot money to promote sports.

A little introduction

Hello everyone,

This is my first time doing a blog and I am very nervous. I choose swimming because it is one of my favourite sport and it is really nice sport to do because you can exercise all the muscles in your body. In this blog you can discover how was invented ,the main rules and another interesting facts. I hope you enjoy the blog and you enjoy this amazing sport that I like so much.

I'm talking about one of my favourite sports ,swimming is one of the world’s oldest sports, and there is evidence of the sport being practiced in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. But in the 19th century that organized swimming competitions with more frequency. Swimming baths were opened in Liverpool, England, in 1828, and by 1837, London had six pools where were a lot of competition.

Also there was started clubs in Australia. On February 9, 1858, what is believed to be the first international race was held in St. Kilda, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia; Joseph Bennet from Sydney defeated Charles Steedman from England. But the most important was in the United States, all the people know for a national championship, was run by the New York Athletic Club in 1883.

Swimming is one of the sports playing in the Summer Olympic Games and we can see the Rio Olympics Games. In the first half of the 20th century,  only the “freestyle”, “breaststroke” and “backstroke” styles were known in 1956 that “butterfly” was introduced in the styles of swimming and competitions . Women’s swimming made its debut in 1912 and was the first one ever happened. Now the women’s program has the same number of events as the men’s.

Three swimming events were included on the program at the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896: the men’s 100 meters, 500 meters and 1200 meters. Women’s events added to the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm.

All the countries compete between their to know what is the best country in swimming. It is The U.S. has won 519 swimming medals, a third of all the swimming medals ever awarded. The U.S 's team was Michael Phelps,he won 22of these medals and the most decorated Olympian of all-time. At the 2012 London Olympics, the Americans collected 31 total medals and nearly half of all the gold medals (16). Australia has claimed the second-most swimming medals in Olympic history. Unfourtenetly,Australia had a poor performance at the London Games, it only earning 10 medals, because always it got more medals.

In the last Olympics Games the best countries were USA, China, Russia, Great Britain and Germany.

And Ireland was in the number 40th  with one gold and silver medal. Also it got three bronze medals.

There is a woman is the best at the moment in the top competition. My favorite swimmer is Mireya Belmonte. She is a Spanish swimmer , Mundial , European winner and Olympic runner. She also compete in the styles , butterfly and freestyle.

This year is going to celebrate the Rio Olympics Games. It going to be on 5th-21st August. And the swimming competition at the Summer Olympics 2016 are scheduled to take place from 6 to 13 August at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium. The open-water marathon will be held from 6 to 7 August in Fort Copacabana.

I hope you enjoy my first article and you learn more things about swimming. See you in the next post.
